On Sunday, November 23, local music collective (518) Musicians on a Mission will host its highly anticipated annual fundraiser—a full day of live music benefitting the Capital City Rescue Mission, a nonprofit serving Albany’s unhoused and hungry since 1949.
The event will take place at the Capital District Irish American Center, located at 375 Ontario Street, Albany, NY. Doors will open at 1:30 PM, with performances scheduled from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Admission is $25, with 100% of proceeds supporting the mission’s life-saving programs.
“We believe in the power of music to bring people together for a common purpose,” said James Kelly, event organizer and passionate community advocate. “Through this event, we aim to not only entertain but to uplift and support the vital work the Rescue Mission does every single day.”
Now in its 4th year, the fundraiser has become a staple of the Capital Region’s music calendar—blending high-energy performances with heartfelt community impact.

Two indoor stages will host back-to-back sets, ensuring a continuous and immersive live music experience. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, with proceeds further supporting the cause.
Founded over 70 years ago with a mission to provide “soup, soap, and salvation,” the Capital City Rescue Mission has grown into a comprehensive support system for those in crisis. From meals and medical care to recovery programs, education, and transitional housing, the Mission provides a pathway to hope for individuals and families in need.
